Very poor days fishing, 3 of us tried lots of different swims but without any real success, even Montys advice couldnt help.

River was up all day and didn't drop. Fishing was quite hard. Fished on the bend close in (two rod lengths out) on feeder and pellet. Caught 3 barbel (5-7lb) and 3 chub. Nice fishery and Monty very helpful.

The river was still well up so had lots of flow on it, we managed to catch some fish and enjoyed the day. It was nice to chat to a couple of guys that keep an eye on things down there, made us feel very welcome.

River very high and rising all day. Masses of weed and the occasional dead tree made fishing very difficult but fish feeding when we found places to avoid the worst of the weed

Met Monty and his ground staff on arrival and was impressed with his knowledge of the beat, a really well looked after stretch of river. Fishing was slow to start with but improved late in the day with some nice Barbel up to 8 lbs.Hope to return next time.

Land owner monty was very helpful. All fish were caught on feeder tactics. Would try this stretch again.

Started the day at the top end of the fishery (above the stile), fished 2 hours on the feeder with nothing to show and no offers. Moved to the bottom of the fishery and had 1 barbel and 2 chub on the float but only small. Finished the day on a swim just below the stile and had 2 decent barbel the best 7lb 4oz, good weather conditions but found it hard to locate the fish but still learning the fishery.
