Cildu Fishery lies in beautiful unspoilt rural countryside offering complete privacy and seclusion. Just over ½ mile of mostly single left bank, just downstream from Llanwrtyd Wells, the fishery offers a series of small pools with long gravelly runs of fast water. The grayling fishing is of good quality and quantity and the brown trout are usually of good average size, often 1lb or larger. The Irfon is a noted trout and grayling river but also has runs of salmon late in the season (salmon season extends to 25th October on the Irfon).

Wading is relatively easy along the majority of the beat in normal flows, with a gravel bed. Parking is approx. 240 yards (220m) from the river.
