Approximately ¾ mile (1.13km) of mostly double bank river Lugg fishing, close to the village of Kingsland. This part of the river meanders through tranquil farmland, and is a haven for local wildlife. Some excellent mayfly habitat, as well as hosting good grayling numbers. Ideal for one or two anglers looking to escape for a quiet day’s fly fishing for trout and grayling, with some excellent classic glide – riffle sections. Largely open banks with a few trees, a 7 – 8ft Rod would be ideal.

With a gravel and silt riverbed, wading is relatively easy on this small to medium sized river, although some pools can get deep suddenly so a wading pole is advised. Parking is less than 50m from the river.

Half price evening tickets can be purchased after 1pm on the day of fishing. Fishing is allowed from 5pm.

Block Booking is available on this beat. You can book all the tickets available. You can only fish up to the maximum daily number of people allowed for that type of fishing.
