1 mile of right bank coarse fishing offering anglers a variety of conditions. The upstream sections are faster flowing over bedrock and gravel, usually fishing well for summer barbel. The middle and lower reaches are much deeper and slower and along with barbel in winter, this is where anglers are likely to find the pike and perch. Chub are likely to be prevalent throughout.
A campsite is located at the fishery and occasional rods are allowed to fish the river at that point.
There are two parking spots. One next to the river close to the campsite and the other towards the mid point of the fishery, with a 155m (170 yard) walk to the river.
PLEASE NOTE - You will need to be fit and able to get the best out of fishing here. Make sure you have the appropriate footware and take extra care when heading to and along the riverbank. The track down to the parking spot can get muddy and rutted in winter.
Canoe traffic can be heavy from 10am to 4pm at weekends during the warmer months, and especially during bank holidays.
