Located in between Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth, the Courtfield Fishery is just under ¾ mile of left bank salmon and coarse fishing. The beat has benefited from access improvement works, opening up much more of the water and allowing salmon anglers to be able to cast from the croys in the middle section. It is a mixture of good fly and spinning water (Pool notes will be attached to your booking). First class coarse fishing is also on offer for all the usual Wye species – barbel, chub, pike etc. Pike over 30lbs have been caught in recent years, along with regular reports of double figure barbel in the summer and autumn. The fishery owner allows the use of light weight tools to assist with swim and peg enhancement. ALWAYS bring long handled landing nets and preferably bank spikes and ropes particularly when it is wet.

The beat also has a guide/ghillie available for an introduction to the water when available. Please enquire via the Fishing Passport offices contact us page.

Combined with Wyebank, this is a superb location for larger parties of 7 - 9 to fish together, with excellent local facilities for good food, pubs and W.C's within walking distance. There are also several places to stay within the immediate environs of the fisheries. Contrary to the WUF rules to Coarse fishing, the owner at Courtfield will allow the use of two rods.

For regular updates visit the fishery's Facebook page

Half price evening tickets can be purchased after 1pm on the day of fishing. Fishing is allowed from 5pm. (Coarse evening tickets are only available between 16th June and 30th September).

Please note that by booking this beat you agree to WUF passing your name and contact details to the fishery owner who may get in touch with updates on fishery/river conditions. If you do not wish your details to be passed on, please contact us on 01874 712 074.
