Conlog is the largest of Cambrian AA's lakes (18 acres) lying over 2,000’. Its dramatic setting, not far from the sumit of Allt Fawr, make the walk to this remote lake (about 2 hours walk from Tanygrisiau) worth it for the views alone.

The severe frost of 1947 is believed to have killed all the fish, but it has been stocked with fry throughout the 1990’s and has now become an excellent fishery, wild brown trout over 1lb are regularly caught, with fish up to about 4lb being landed every season.

Fish can be caught on spinner or fly , with the old favourites for wild fish, Hare's Ear nymph, Diawl Bach, etc, working well.

A day ticket here also covers 14 other Cambrian AA stillwaters for you to roam around in one day.
