Water level up perfect level water bit to cold no fish rising all day had 6 fish on the french leader, fished the end of the beet took some on the dry blind on olives picked up the rest in the tail of the penalow pool in the evening rising to spinners. Thanks Shaun

River carrying some colour & higher than ideal but I persisted during the day taking shelter under trees from the torrential showers & picked up a couple of trout & grayling on nymphs. The weather cleared early evening (as forecast) and I was rewarded with a hatch of BWO. Had most of the trout in the last hour on a BWO paradun.

Good day of fishing, clouds and sun breaks, high coloured water, 17C, bit windy time to time. Not much surface activity, all fish taken on wet fly and nymph, WBO imitation. No graylings this time. Trouts 10-15 inch, happy returned. 11 in total.

River was low but managed to find the fish although it did involve plenty of searching. NZ style seemed to be the method of the day. DB had an excellent day and great to get DC into his first Upper Wye Grayling. As usual fish were in superb condition with the best Grayling pushing 2.5lbs.

Other = 2 Salmon Parr. All fish caught on emergers ..... shuttlecocks and Klinkhammer river had risen appx 9-12in after overnight rain. Good rise at around 1230 didnt start fishing until 1130am. Myself and my fishing partner had roughly the same amount of fish each. Both lost a few fish. All in all a good day. A bit challenging at times . Bottom of stretch and wading upstream proved to be best.

I caught all my fish on drys olive. Shaun mixed on drys and french leader good river level fish rising all through the beat many missed not many sedges comming off yet
