Fishing was hard due to low water levels, fished two spots, majority came from faster shallower water, barbel in 5-6lb range and chub up to about 3.5lb, beautiful spot, quite a few roe deer in the fields above the river

Initially we had a quick response and caught 3 nice chub all around the 3lb mark, I was disappointed about the fact I wasn’t able to fish a favourable swing due to anglers now fishing on the opposite bank...the water levels are still low so fishing was challenging.. returning later in the afternoon/ early evening we caught 3 more chub and 1 barbel of around 6lb so Friday turned out a good day.

River very low and the weather was very hot. Managed 3 chub to pellet and feeder, lost one barbel. Left early as a shower made getting back up the hill difficult.

Had a great day. River was in good condition coloured and not to low. We caught 10 Barbel up to 6 lb 12 oz and 10 Chub up to 4 lb. We also had a lot of Chublets and fair sized Dace along with odd Perch. Predominately used Halibut Pellets on the Float and occasionally Maggots if bigger fish did not show in that Peg. If possible roving approach advised to find fish.

Fishing Passport Note : This beat has a maggot ban dispensation
