8lb cock Salmon landed on home tied "Archy Wye Fly" fished on a sunk line from beat 3. Superb clear water on a bright and blustery day. 6 superb beats to fish with no other rods on the estate.

1 Salmon

Fly fishing using a Cascade tube fly and a Silver Stoat's Tail. Fished the left hand bank on beat 4 and the top of beat 5. Low water conditions, bright sunshine and a stiff, chill breeze. No fish takes.
Superb remote location with secure bankside parking and ease of access to the river. Anglers devoted to their mobile phone will need to drive to Hay-on-Wye to obtain a signal.

Fantastic venue, beautiful countryside. River slightly up and crystal clear all fish returned. Hooked many more fish but shook hook. Terry the gillie very helpful. Heavy nymphs under indicaters most successful method.

1 Trout, 3 Grayling

It was a treat to fish such a beautiful river. I fished 6.30 to 8.30am caught 1 1lb trout, which I returned, and missing 2 other takes. Also fished 5 to 8pm missing 1 trout. I mostly used a gold head PTN,to get down, the river was flowing fast. No trout rising, although nice evening. Beats 2 & 3 best for trout. Also I didn't see any salmon. Thank you. Very enjoyable. I will return!

Saw Two Salmon: One leapt V High (about 7/10lbs). And soon after one showed, neither took flies. Had one salmon tug on fly later. Took one small trout mid afternoon.

Fished beats 2 and 3 as only had the fly rod. No salmon seen. River in good condition.

Wonderful spring day; great day to be out fishing - shame no fish caught, although saw some rise.
Fished beat 2 & 3 on right bank; wanted to fish beat 5 & 6 on left bank, but unable to gain access - gate code given was wrong - shame really.

Lovely day and nice beat, no fish unfortunately. Thanks to WUF and the Ghillie for the advice.
