Cage feeder was the main tactic and baits included pellet, boilies, bread etc.
The river was well up which didn't help.
A nice section though. Would definitely consider when conditions are more favorable.

Couldn't get any pike interested in lures but picked up two jacks on dead-bait. Followed up late in the day with two nice chub over 5lbs.

Not the best of days from a catching point of view but still well worth being there. We had a fantastic welcome from Terry including a great cup of tea and up to date info. We finished the day with just two 4lb chub that fell to one of our rods, a lovely venue and we'll definitely be back

11 chub on bread, 9 from beat 2 and 2 from beat 3. I do wonder wether the resident otter is having an effect on stock levels on beat 3? Today was the fourth time in as many visits I have seen an otter at Whitney. Otters and cormorants in one stretch can't be good.

River was in full flood, so fishing difficult. 4 chub were taken to 4lb. 5oz feeders were needed to hold bottom & only achievable in selected spots.
Could of been good on a different day, but that's fishing ! Will be back.
