Fished on beats 4, 5 & 6. Barbel about 8 ounces.

1 Barbel, 4 Chub

Fished 1pm - 9pm. Started in Loxters pool, beat 5 right bank - nothing doing so moved to beat 4 left bank. Had 7 chub and 1 barbell, 2 - 5lb, mainly to rolling meat but also pellet feeder. Lovely beats, great wildlife. A kingfisher almost perched on my rod!

Small black and white dry fly , sunny and windy, river quite fast.

River perfect, falling and clearing after much needed rain. I took my ten year old nephew barbel fishing for the first time: 4 barbel none of them under 8lb, the largest pushing double figures, 6 chub up to 4lb. Method open end feeder with banded pellet for the barbel, pek for the brassies. All fish top notch, great day cheers

4 Barbel, 6 Chub

Got started late. Water was silty but cleared through day. Nothing caught tried lots of flies just nothing would take. Saw two rises out of the water all day. One by Boat House Inn & the other around beat 4. Will fish again.

Mixture of sunshine and light showers. All taken from beat 4 on a variety of baits including pellets, meat and bread. Plenty of other nice looking water to explore on the next visit.

Cracking day was expecting more barbel as it’s the 16th but we can all dream lol ???? cracking day as I fished the fast runs got what I came for so a well happy man ???? river was realy low could do with a couple of days rain see you soooooooon ????????

1 Trout, 1 Grayling, 3 Barbel, 30 Chub

Fished the gravel bar swims on beat 4 and found good looking far bank swims with some nice fast water which we'd hoped would hold some Barbel. Tried fishing in the flow , rolling a bait through and letting the current take it well downstream but neither of us had a touch. Moved on to beat 2 around 5pm fishing just downstream of the island and just a sub 2lb Chub for our efforts.

Fishing one of my favourite beats. Great start with 5 barbel all over 8lb in 6 casts and then the sun came out and the whole river seemed to switch off. River desperately needs some rain as it was gin clear and very very low.

Saw three salmon jumping at the same time one was in excess of 20lb. Spent a couple of hours birdwatching instead of fishing!

Very warm, arrived late, there were two other anglers fishing and they caught. I had none, great day though after the dust of sheffield
