Fished 10 till late. River was quite low. Fished mostly dry flies only but had to search for rising fish. Had many more opportunities and fish on than the 5 fish landed shows. Best Dry Flies were Hares Ear Klink and Adams.

Some rises but a difficult days fishing with no fish.

2 x trout 8 inches and 16 inches, Parachute Adams. River still down on its bones. One trespassing canoeist trying to come down the river sent up to the canal.

Blanked today. After 2 years away from the river due to Covid etc I was blundering around like a beginner frightening the fish. It was good to be back and I look forward to relearning the craft.

A very pretty beat with super convenient parking and easy access to the water. Water was low and crystal clear. Fairly quiet during the day but it picked up a little after some torrential rain between 5 and 7pm with two fish being caught, two to dries, and one on a nymph.
