Nice spot for a few hours, blanked but wasn’t there long as short on time. Saw plenty of fish rising and good hatch despite wind and rain, few takes but none stuck.

Conditions not ideal with a brisk downstream wind that got stronger as the day went on. Decent amount of water though (0.97 on the Llanfoist gauge). One small trout caught but happy with that given the conditions. Nice beat and hope to return soon.

River very low and clear so fishing was very difficult. A few fish rising in the top flats but I would spook if anything went anywhere near them. Beautiful short beat.
