Spent a few hours on this beat . Plenty of flies coming off, but only saw a few rises to them, and failed to connect with any. Fished upstream wet fly first, then a mixture of PTN, wet and dry. River was very low. Kept away from the lower part of the beat by a pair of very territorial swans.

25cm brown trout caught in glide on a Hare & Copper. Plenty activity including rises in top section of beat, though there is dense bank side vegetation making it difficult to reach.

First time on this beat. River was running low and clear. 2 Trout taken on a dry (Royal Wulff) in shallow water around mid day. One measured 19" the other 15". Fish were also taking nymphs in the faster water.
