8/9 wild brownies all caught on black/ dark nymphs. biggest about 1/1/2 lb lost a 2lber when my dropper got snagged on a rock.
some really nice nymphing water just before the bend.
took one, all others released.
chucked around a skull head wooly bugger that got a nip from a monstrous brown and a follow from another beast.

Some very wily fish, infrequent risers and frustrating missed takes. Paid off with a new pb right at the end of the day though. Poor access and very overgrown at the fishing hut, have to climb under an electric fence and slide down a high bank to get in the river. Also the cows in the field make it tricky to cross the field and they are quite scary when they chase after you.

Hot day with little cover made for a challenging afternoon. One brave trout took to a daddy long legs and safely returned for next time. Plenty seen through water, but very little rises.
