Rather disappointingly nil caught or seen

12lb cock fish, Francis Fly, Bathing Pool. 2` height rising slowly. 1530 hours.

No salmon caught,but we did see two fish around the 20 LB mark. both rods had a few brown trout biggest around 1 LB all returned . Lovely beat and a great day.

3 Brown Trout. Largest 1lb 8oz all on a black tube fly opposite Ty Newydd hut. No Salmon seen.

Nothing caught.

The river level was still quite high and slightly coloured due to rain the night before but was fining off during the day. Managed to catch 7 fish, all good sizes 1/2lb plus - with one over 1 lb.
Weather was good - sunny with some cloud cover and the air temperature was about 14 degrees C.

Sadly no fishing as the water was too fast, full and dirty...another time maybe !

A very good days fishing. Caught 12 plus brown trout and as many o/s grayling. All returned. Nearly all fish taken in or on the surface. Arrived to see a few fish rising in the pool below the lodge. A black klinkhammer worked in the morning. Olive patterns took fish around the middle part of the day when there was a very large hatch of march browns. Later in the afternoon fish were taking sedges off the surface and a deer hair pattern was effective.

Cold wind, sunny spells and light hatches of olives. Enough rising fish to keep attention very much on dry fly selection. 8 wild brown trout to 12" Size 16 -18 Adams or green klink worked best. Great stretch of water, thankyou.
