Relatively cold wind blowing quite strongly. Small trout rising intermittently throughout the morning on the lower beat flats
Moved a couple of bigger fish on the upper beat to a PT nymph fished deep in the afternoon

Mostly sunny breezy. A couple of fish caught in the morning on small dries of a pound. P.M. a good trout caught blow the rapids of 2lbs and one of a pound on tiny dries. Evening a good fish took on midge size 20 at Little Stream, just as Harry Legge Bourke , the estate owner appeared on a ride-on mower. After some very dubious commentary from the bank, a fine heavily spotted fish of 2. 1/2lbs came to the net. Harry declared it was definitely a sewin. 8 fish for 2 rods
