Far too many idiots in kayaks ruining the angling unfortunately so gave up and left early unfortunately

4 fished,barbel caught from 3 different swims but all in faster shallows

The river is so low you can see right across in most places. Very little flow. Very few fish showing. If I had not booked this some time ago I would not have chosen to fish. Rain is needed. A lone chub saved my day.

Fished swims along the whole stretch. You could have walked across the river for most of it.
Could see chub swimming around on the surface but they weren't to be fooled. Managed a few on float fished meat and ledgered pellet towards the evening. A beautiful and peaceful stretch that I can't wait to see with a bit of water on

Never fished

Far from ideal conditions, river low and clear in places and slow and sluggish in others. long hard session, tough day for a few Chub, nuff said.
