Fished two swims at top of stretch, feeder with groundbait/pellet and hemp/caster, only two small chub the result. Moved to below car park on stick/pin/trotted meat, result 4 or 5 chub to 4lbs. Moved back to top end when swim died. No further action on feeder, so returned to Parsons Stream pool, trotting meat/caster, feeding hemp/caster. Steady stream of chub to over 4lbs. Last hour saw a bite a chuck. Wonderful fishing, over looked by Goodrich Castle and surrounded by wildlife. Can't wait to return.

Warm, pleasant, Autumn day with no wind. River on the low side but with a decent flow. Barbel on the first and last cast of the day with a few chub in between, caught on pellet and feeder. The last fish was 9-12 which capped a perfect day in lovely surroundings.

Very poor day on the river, no Chub, no Barbel, not a touch all day, friends fishing below Hereford experienced the same, maybe the cold snap & low water has put the fish off for a while, next time!!!

A big drop in temperature slowed the fishing for sure. We landed 10 barbel to 8lb 8oz and 8 chub to 5lb 3oz over the 2 days.

Water levels still up and very murky. We had to search for the fish, but eventually found them on the upstream pegs. We used swim feeders, with either luncheon meat, halibut pellet or spicy sausage pellet on the hook.

River was high but on the way down. Fished from 9am till 7pm. A few barbel early on and then the usual middle of the day quiet period before it picked up again later. Only four swims as such to pick from. A beautiful warm, sunny and enjoyable day!

A very enjoyable day at MHC. Most of the rain had cleared by the time I arrived and conditions looked favourable with the river up a foot or so and heavily coloured. Access was very limited at the lower end of the beat but I found what was probably the only accessible swim downstream of the parking area. Here I managed 4 lovely looking barbel weighing from around 4lb to somewhere a little short of 9lb. Thanks WUF.

looked great with coloured water on the rise , gently but surely felt like a struggle allday though. lost a few to snags and hook pulls but ended up with the 5 to 7lb or so all in great virgin like condition. Used piloni garlic soft pellets and ground bait. no fish on normal halibut pellets. car smelt like a French onion sellers van afterwards fish seemed to like the shade on the far bank until late on when middle of the river was more productive. Lovely sunny day after heavy early morning showers

5 Barbel
