Only fished a morning session and was rewarded with 3 barbel around the 6/7 pound mark. Pellet feeder did the job. Lovely stretch of river.

Started day off at top of the beat with little success. As it was bright and sunny I was not very confident. I also found it very snaggy. All I had to show for my efforts was one chub. I decided to settle into a swim near the dead tree and wait for the sun to go behind the tree line.
No sooner had this happened the whole situation changed and I ended up with eight barbel to over 10lb.

First time on the River Wye for all three of us. River was at around three meters and rising. Found a few slacks on the inside to fish but had no bites on three rods. Would like to come back on better conditions.

We spent a very wet day in Middle Hill Court this Sunday. The river was at a relatively low level as the rain had not yet taken its effect. We fished two swims near to the parking area without success in the morning and then moved slightly up stream, to a location where I was less likely to fall in, in the afternoon. From this new swim my colleague caught three barbel and lost one. The three all weighed in between 6 and 7 1/2 pounds. We would like to give this beat another go on a slightly better day which does not limit our movement quite as much. A good day despite the weather.

A slow day today, moved around a bit to find the fish. I had 4 barbel, best 8lb and a new PB of 10lb 12oz plus 4 chub around 3lb. My fellow angler had three barbel to around 8lb. Boillees and pellets with feeders were successful.
