River higher than last time I came out and still rising with some colour and lots of weed coming down. Difficult to fish mid river.
Fish hard to come by although my friend on another ticket had 4 barbel to around 9lbs.
I lost one, had one and had a chub all in the last hour of daylight. The chap I was with had a couple of chub - it was his first visit but I'm sure he'll be back for more.
Lovely day to be out, sun was shining, very warm. Would only have been better had the barbel really come out to play too!

One brown trout. Surface and sub surface lure for pike and maggot using swim feeder for barbel. No takes. Steep banks were very slippery making access very difficult. A lot of weed drifting down stream.

The river was clear and a bit slow but you can find a few runs. We fished pellet over a 8 hour session, drove up from Devon for the day. Caught 2 Chub, 6 Barbel. Best fish 7lb.
Most fish came late afternoon.

Another tough day on a very low river. Very little action throughout the day except for an Eel. Managed to land a Barbel that weighed just over 6lb on a Halibut pellet just before pack up. Very nice venue with easy access and lots of swims.

Another brill day on the Wye. Had to work hard to find the fish, but there was no stopping them once I had.
Had five fish 4.14, 4.14, 4.15, 5.8 and 6.14. Also lost a huge Barbel, it slipped the hook whilst trying to bully it away from the over hanging trees. Why is it always the big ones that get away!!

River levels still very low and clear making the fishing difficult. Not a touch all day. I walked the beat 4 times and with the sun out could see most of the river bed but did not spot a single fish. But as the sun went down the fish came out from the tree cover. 4 x barbel, biggest 9lbs 15 oz, all caught in the last hour before darkness.

Fished very slow for Middle Hill. Been there a lot of times, this time they didn't turn up till 4.45 and then only 3 bites. Wasn't our day with only one landed.

JB blanked but RG caught a chub of 2.5lb. Weather was aweful with torrential rain for most of the day making the banks very slippery and more dangerous as the day progressed. If it wasn't for RG bringing his spikes and rope we would have struggled to get down to the waters edge at all. Nevertheless a fantastic looking piece of water with everything from shallow rapids to deep water and you can park at the waters edge making it easy to get your gear down to the water.

River still very low and clear, hence most fish came in the morning and evening. A standard feeder and pellet approach accounted for all fish (fishmeal groundbait / 8-10 mm pellets / size 12 short hair), from the slower deeper area positioned in the middle of the beat. Directions to Middle Hill Court were excellent and access to the fishing good. Yet another top class fishing opportunity provided by WUF. We'll be back for some Autumn/Winter sport in a few weeks time.

Very nice fishery with lots of well made swims. Fishing was very good with a splendid backdrop of trees. Steady fishing throughout the day - pellets being the best bait, with Trigga boilies a close second. Would definitely fish this beat again.
