We caught 8 barbel and 5 chub. The barbel were all weighed between 6 to 7 lb. All were caught on hair rigged pellet with a 4oz ground bait feeder. If you fish on the Lower Wye for the first time make sure you have a dog spike and 10m rope with knots at 18" centres. Banks can be very steep and slippery.

Nice day to take my nephew out for his annual barbel trip. Fished pellet and feeder. Biggest barbel just shy of 10lb. Good day considering the river needs rain.

Very very hard fishing but very enjoyable in a stunning location.Big thanks to a top bailiff for putting us on a nice double peg and I ended up with a 10-05 barbel when packing away also had a 7-00 +barbel taken by a very big pike when we were ready to land it......will defo be back.

Fantastic scenery enjoyed on a hard day's fishing. Big thanks to the bailiff who put onto a swim where we might get a chance of a barbel. And he was right when I had a 10-05 fish right at the death. And a small one for my mate...

River very low and bright sunshine - nothing doing apart from 1 barbel of 9-4. Nice beat although not too many accessable swims.
