Float fishing windy conditions fast moving water

We used two spinning rods with devon minnows. The river had a lot of colour in it and we saw very little sign of fish.

River very low and hot clear day. Nobody caught anything worth catching. Local anglers also on other bank also did not catch. Diesel pumps running on both sides of the river became annoying and spoilt the day as couldn't really enjoy the countryside.

Very hot day so finished at lunchtime. Quite a bit of weed being picked up. Nice barbel around mid morning on pellet and feeder. Other was an eel.

With the river the colour of tea and masses of blanket weed keen to snag the line it was a hard slog to fish static with feeder or lead but managed to winkle out 5 chub on the float whilst my companion managed 3 barbel persevering with feeder tactics . Sweet corn was the successful bait in the murky water.
