Had to fish below the pump, where have all the swims above? Everything has overgrown. Rather frustrating having to remove green slimey silkweed every time I wound in. Quite a few bites using feeder and pellet tactics.

Day three and final day for are trip on the wye again first time on this beat the back trop and surroundings area is nice but unfortunately that is where it ends before we began to fish we walked the hole stretch to say that this excellent fishing is NOT QUITE TRUE the top end was absolutely abysmal which is a shame with some work done on it you could make at least 8 to 10 swims so say that there was a mile of fishing not the case we payed good money for this beat well we felt we had been mugged plus the noise of the pump going ALL day is a shame so we all agreed that you could looking at 400yds or so of fishing as for the fishing we did managed to get some fish out but unless there is some work done on the top end we all agreed we definitely not return

Fished early morning and late evening to avoid the canoes. Jon had 4 chub using a feeder. Several salmon seen on the beat . Water temp 21 Deg C.

Deffo need a 4x4 at this time of year to get from the farm, but once negotiated the river is beautiful, 3 fishable pegs within reasonable walking distance. I tried the first one to the left, bank fairly steep but manageable. Fished from 8-30 am and had first bite within half an hour, second one connected but snagged me to the deep pool just infront of the stepping stones. Started on feeder with pellet, then tried meat and varying sizes of pellet and hook. Didn't have another bite all day which was strange as conditions seemed perfect, River was up maybe 1.5 mtr and sunshine, cloud all day. Fished until 5-30 pm but alas it was a blank.

Pellet feeder tactics all caught on the top length.
