Stunning day. So quiet we could hear the beat of the wings of the crows flying 100 metres away. Chap came along doing a bit of falconry. We had two wild carp, one 39cm long, the other 43cm long (which my son caught), both on sweetcorn. The larger one just on a float and the smaller using a surface float arrangement. Dead calm water, at some points it was so flat that ripples gave interference and Moire patterns.

I caught 6 chub and 5 carp. Had a ball, cheers.

4 small carp on sweetcorn. Water very low, fishing slow, hot and sunny, light wind.

I would also like to point out that a previous angler had left some rubbish by the lake which was an empty tin of sweetcorn and the lid plastic packaging from the sweetcorn and an empty tin of fizzy drink. I did my duty and took the rubbish away with me.

Windy - no sign of fish.

Strong winds and rain made for difficult fishing conditions - temperature low. 3 chub & 2 wildies between 3 anglers on an unseasonably cold and wet day.

9 carp caught, averaging just under 3lbs, all fell to sweet corn on the bomb in the gravel margins if northern corner with hemp, 2mm halibut pellets and corn as a loose feed.

Total of 7 fish caught 6 carp and 1 chub. The carp weighed between 1 to 3.1/2 lbs but the majority were in the 3lb range and the chub was 2lb. Sweet corn was the most popular bait but I used dynamite baits hemp and snail as a change bait and that netted some of the larger fish.
