Wind really put the fish down but in the few windows the fish rose freely and took a number of different patterns.

Did not fish due to high temperatures in consideration of fish welfare.

Tried again today better weather but no luck, more rain please

Up with my mate, nothing seen or caught. I cant understand the quickness of the river dropping , it was never this quick , we usually got a good weeks fishing after a flood of that last one. How things change

French Nymphing

Did not fish due to high temperature in the interests of fish welfare .

Fished from 7.00 am with gauge at 1’4”.
Too hot and bright and the river temperature rose quickly so I was finished by 11.00am.
No salmon seen.

I went up in afternoon until evening fished the rock pool with not a touch went to Mill pool fished all the way down to near the end and wallop into a fish about 10lb bar of silver , unfortunately after some acrobatics it slipped the hook. So they are there
