Fly, river low, two very small fish (less than 1lb) caught in the evening.

2 Trout

Water perfect but gusting downstream wind made for several motionless periods in midstream intent on unravelling birdsnest in leader. Not a lot rising but all trout caught on speculative dry flies (mayfly patterns).Tried PTN wet for 20 mins but only caught salmon parr, so gave that up. One larger trout but they were all fat & beautifully marked. Once again a pleasure to be out on the river - thanks WUF.

7 Trout, 3 Other

Fished 1:30 to 3:00 due to commitments elsewhere. 1 gentlemen caught a 12lb cock fish after I packed up on a flying c I think.

1 Salmon

Great to explore this beat - water levels spot on but rather coloured and hopping up and down all day. Nothing contacted bar a couple of trout; will return!

2 Trout

Booked the Rectory, ready for the rain which was forecast at the end of the week, wrong!! I sat and watched Shaun try all the likely lies which were drying up as quick as he could cast! Nice to be on the river though.

3 Trout

With the gauge at 1 foot with a little colour, thought it was worth a go, no fish caught or seen. But a nice evening none the less. Couldn't fish the bridge as a canoe was in the pool. Couldn't be bothered to say anything, but annoying when you have travelled nearly 50 miles to fish.

Casting practice really as only 6" on the gauge. Neck of Rectory looked like the only chance.

River low and clear, grayling caught on a team of small GH nymphs, trout and a shad on a czech nymph.

Into fish at the same time multiple times throughout the day and both into double headers at the same time. On the side of caution, 20 grayling and 15 trout, but it was probably double that…
