River running high but not unfishable. Most wading spots weren’t workable so a static day. Due to water colour, water height and speed of water a blank day.

River conditions looked good on arrival , x 2 trout then the river rose quite sharpish, time to go home.

No Salmon seen.

Light rain didn’t stop us to enjoy this beat and trout was very active.

Nothing caught but a salmon showing in top of gravel catch and rock pool.

Excellent two hours evening fishing with a total beginner. They caught their first ever fish on a fly.....and lost a few.
Sun had gone and pool was in shade, fish in the fast headwater of the pool.
Next time we might make it to another pool!

we fished from 9 am till 5.30 pm the weather very sunny all day. no salmon seen it was a great day to tidy up the casting

Salmon leapt out of the water several times at the rock pool, nice coloured fish.

Started at the top. JD went right from the access, AW went left. JD found the fish and caught 4 in just over an hour on PTN. AW had a blank- one take to a dry by the bridge. Nothing for either of us after that- hard work at the bottom of the beat - there are handy steps down from the top path but at the end of it, you would need a hook to get back to the bank.

Lovely sunny afternoon, water clear to 2ft. Shared a lunchtime wood fired pizza at the Griffin. before the of. Excellent pub- V. freindly.
