Great day had by all.several Mortimer moments but no fish

Beautiful stretch of river, with some very likely-looking holding pools. Despite not catching any salmon it was good to be out on the Wye again. Many thanks to the member angler and his friend for the advice and hospitality. The river was running clear and was around 1’ 6” on the Llanstephan gauge..

Pleasant days fishing, lots of bites nymphing and a few rises on the dry. Easier wading above the bridge.

4 Trout, 6 Grayling

Cock fish around 14/15lb from middle of the rock pool on a cone head black francis

1 Salmon

12lb salmon caught on a red Francis tube at the top of the Rectory pool/tail of the neck of the Rectory.

River dropping but nothing seen or caught, shame really as I thought we would of at least seen one.

Fished the pools hard until river started to rise nothing caught or seen

Small fish 5-6lb off the rock on the bridge pool on a small Wilkinson shrimp

Fished Mill Pool and the Rectory. Fly only now so fished it through once or twice, with nothing seen or caught, surprised really as it looked great maybe a bit high ?
