Overcast and windy with occasional drizzle. Only the occasional olive hatching until around 16:00 hrs when a hatch began big time for around 45 mins. Having seen no rising fish all day, suddenly had lots but all small brownies

Plenty of water following recent rain - managed 8 at 8-13". So nothing very sizeable, although a slightly larger fish fell off a barbless hook. All to nymphs - mix of duo and Czech nymphing. I can only claim very limited competence at any sort of euro nymphing but seemed a good idea for some stretches and accounted for three, if memory serves.

Perfect weather, sunny intervals and some cloud cover. Water in its bones but managed 2 gorgeous healthy WBT. One a pound and a half on Ballon Caddis in fast ripple. The second stalked and targeted in pool tail with rusty klinkhammer. Fab day.

Due to very low water,and a shortish beat,we struggled. This river need a good wash out.
One fish on a dry size 20 black knat,others on small nymphs under a indicator,top end of beat. Ptn on a 18 gold 2.5 mm Tunney bead 20 inches down.please let us have the rain soon.
