All taken on parachute Adams. Largest 2 just over a pound. River low and clear. Forecast was for rain, which did not occur until the end of the day.
No strong hatch but a variety of different insects evident.

Gusting downstream wind and bright submachine made it hard going. A few rises but nothing seemed to to entice them. Only one brownie to the net. Lovely water and plenty of fishing. Very easy access.

Two trout taken on nymphs during a long days fishing Water low and clear no fly emerging. Rain wind and Sun during the day.

The day's fishing on this beat was slow,although two large fish were lost due to weak droppers on a factory made leader.To our surprise several expletives were heard echoing up the river by the mildest mannered of the gang.

Warm, overcast, rainy, and a slight breeze gave us pretty good conditions. Water was low and clear, and coloured slightly as the day went on. Fish were caught throughout the beat, with abundant fly-life bringing an opportunity for some terrific sport using dries. Most fish were between 1 and 1.5 lbs, and all were safely returned. A particularly productive day for us - we don't usually fish from 08:30 until 21:30. A great day out, on a wonderful stretch of River.

Skinny water bright , no hatches , very hard fishing but easy wading and walking after 2 days on the rocks . I prefer the rugged bedrock beats even if they do kill my knees 2 tiddlers , left at 7 pm due to long drive home , Long stretches of slow water and not many shady deep hiding places . Not my kind of Usk fishing
