Conditions unchanged from Saturday. Warm and not a cloud in the sky. Despite that I enjoyed good sport from 11.30-1pm on a nymph/spider rig, with three nice fish of 17”15”and 12” coming to the net. Flies: Copper John, Waterhen Bloa (x2).
As the temperature rose, the fish went down and so it was perhaps less annoying than it might otherwise have been to find three poachers upstream of the bridge (they left quickly) and numerous bathers above them. Most irritating of all were the mother, two small children and five dogs who swam/waded across my favourite dryfly glide. Let it rain soon please !

Only fished from 12-4 and was a very hot sunny day so not ideal timings. Fish came early on then nothing. Not much rising. Nice day by the river though.

Very low and clear, bright sunshine. 1 fish on a nymph in the fast water, and lost one at the top of the beat. No hatches, saw just a few small olives coming off and a few splashy rises. Several groups of people and dogs splashing in the river in the top half of the beat during the afternoon reduced the number of fishable pools on the beat.

Weather good, warmed up after a cold snap, wind light, and overcast. So cannot blame the weather. River at a nice height, clear and not too cold, so cannot blame the river either. Tried dry, nymph, anything but not a bite, did not even see a fish, so can only really blame myself! Unusual as this beat is often productive, but still a very enjoyable day.

It was like fishing in mid January, cold east wind, mainly cloudy,1 degree at 8.30am. A few fish mid day,but very hard going.
Watched a otter by the road bridge. At over £30 a day would have been nice to fish it in more favourable conditions ,but that's the gamble you take when booking.

Beautiful sunny day with moderate Easterly wind. With water levels below 1 ft point on the Brecon marker we knew it was going to be a struggle and so it proved to be the case.
Spider and nymph fishing in some promising runs proved futile. Just a short pull and that was all. Just after 1 pm we saw the odd olive and some March Browns at the top of the beat. There were 3 or 4 fish that rose tentatively. We managed a small but fully finned brown and missed one more take.
We spent the afternoon below the flyover bridge observing some isolated gentle rises, the type you get when fish are feeding on midges. Couldn't see anything hatching. Tried a few casts and had two quick takes which were missed.
No more action, but a glorious day to be out and fantastic scenery!
