First time to this venue. Beautiful place to be once you've walked away from the parking areas. A cold day with gusting winds meant a longish trek around to the more sheltered areas where you could cast a flea. Didn't see an insect come off all day but it was cold. Saw my first two swallows, red kites and a cuckoo followed us all day. Birdsong in the woods/ forest was wonderful. It will take a few trips here to 'sus out the plan of attack & I think it needs to be a bit warmer for fly fishing?

I caught 3 rainbow on worm and my dad also caught 2 on worm

1 trout each on a float with a splitshot. Wind made things a nightmare!

no fish, very slow and lots of anglers reporting the same

1 rainbow to worm on float, very slow day most anglers I spoke to had blanked.
