Went to fish the bay but beaten back by millions of midges. Fished just down from ticket machine. Good day, 8 good trout to 1.5lbs, all on bubble with worm. Tried spinning but nothing. Also had plenty of Perch.

10 Perch. Very little surface activity and no joy with spinner. Worm held 12" off the bottom. Trout beaten to it every time by the Perch!

Slow fishing in the morning but an improvement after lunch. All fish approx. 2 to 2.5 lbs.
An enjoyable days fishing but yet again marred by the litter left by others, including two chairs, bottles, cans etc. Why go to a remote and pleasant location and despoil it?

Rain kept off, quite a hard days fishing but very enjoyable.

Nothing to report on catching fish. Only 2 rises spotted in the whole day. Only saw 3 other anglers on the water who had not caught any trout but had 1 perch!

We caught 3 rainbow trout on spinners, the largest of around 2 and a half pounds was taken whilst the other 2 were returned. Also caught a perch of around 3/4 pound on a rubber lure.

Mainly overcast day with some drizzle. All caught on white lures. They didn't seem interested in anything else.
