Rainbow trout, 1lb 4oz, caught on Spinner - gold Mepps size 0, from north shore near headland. Sunny, warm, light-moderate SW breeze.

6 perch, paid £30 for 2 trout permits and caught perch all day. That's the last time I will do that thank you very much.

Two rainbow trout on Gold ribbed hair ear nymphs - Very warm conditions.

2 Trout

Only able to fish until 12.00 - No fish caught. Trout rising at 08.00 but not taking on any flies presented. Dry, wet (nymphs etc.) or lures. Wind picked up and expected takes but none forthcoming. Bit disappointing but that's fly fishing!

Fly & worm.

5 Trout

Fished NW shore from 8am until 1pm on fly with no luck other than one small perch. Fished far SW end on fly for an hour pm with no catches. Returned to SE corner and caught six rainbows approx 2lb each on spinner. Fine sunny day with light breeze and significant midge problem for the first two hours.

Both fish caught before lunch on buzzer pupae. Strong westerly wind in the afternoon made the surface very choppy and casting difficult.

One 5 inch perch returned. Back in August to hopefully pluck one or two out then, cheers.

9 Perch and 6 trout. Very windy, heavy rain at times. Fished fly and worm.
