Lost two barbel to snags.

I was kind of expecting a slow day so not too despondent with my return on a cold but dry autumn day....a feisty graying was the highlight of the catch and all the Chub were a fairly good stamp.
Not sure why this beat is not producing more but all part of the mystery which keeps us guessing....and coming back.

Not many swims, steep banks, but nice area to fish. 1x Chub first thing in the morning, followed by a missed bite, and then nothing.

Lots of leaves fishing hard not many places to rest a lead☹️

No water, no fish, waste of time. Avoid - go elsewhere.

River low and clear not a single bite or fish seen. River needs more water/colour as shallow

Low and very clear challenging first visit to this stretch. Good sized chub taken on moving baits. One eel take on meat. Lovely stretch will return.
