River higher than normal with the brown (chicken) colour and no weed but good flow and not much silkweed. On my own today as friend could not make it. End swim cleared using leatherman saw on the willow branches but only produced small chub on floatfished corn and meat so moved back towards the bridge and found the big swim with nice steps blocked by a huge fallen willow branch. 10 minutes with the leatherman and access to this lovely comfortable swim was possible. Feeder with meat and pellet down the middle produced 4 nice barbel and 5 good chub and forays on the float down the same line with corn produced small chub and one good dace, Only 1 eel on meat. Lovely stretch , great steps. How long will it last with this water problem. Write to your MP.

River low. 3 chub around 4lb and a barbel about 6lb on legered pellet. A number of chub from 4oz to about 2lb on trotted bread flake. This is a short beat but there are there is a variety of swims with access down steps. a nice peaceful stretch and a pleasant day.

A lot of weed coming down river which wasn't ideal, but still had an enjoyable day all fish were taken on pellet and cage feeder.

Arrived at dawn and fished until 2pm. Managed 5 Barbel up to approximately 7lbs fishing half way down the left bank all on feeder and halibut pellet. River was up nicely and only had to fish just over a rod length out avoiding the bulk of blanket weed which was a persistent problem.

Fished well given the conditions - hampered a touch by drifting weed. Caught in all the obvious swims. Meat, pellet and corn on the hook. Barbel to just under 8lb and Chub to 4 1/2 lb. Lots of Dace, Chublets and an Eel on meat.

Sudden change in weather with heavy persistent rain leading to a rapidly rising river with lots of weedy and debris coming through made presentation very difficult.
Great to be back on the river though.
