Some pretty poor angling led to 3 fish being lost to snapped hook links!!! but rewarded with a gorgeous 8lber to brighten my spirits

Our first time on this beat and despite the very low river we enjoyed the experience of fishing this interesting place.A combination of feeder fishing and trotting yielded us a rather surprising variety of species which included an immaculate 2lb 5oz Perch of the sort which Mr Crabtree used to bag up on....we also caught a feisty Trout in amongst the chublets,dace,bleak and minnows...Two good Barbel and a chunky Chub came late in the day and we will certainly visit the venue again in the near future.

Lovely day in bright sunshine. Water level looked low. One barbel to 7 pounds in mint condition and two chub to around 4 pounds. all caught on feeder boilie tactics. Will look forward to visiting again.

Very sunny and warm day river low and clear just 2 chub caught.

Our first time with WUF and at Sugwas Court, was a really tough day.
Water levels were low and water clear, weather dry and mainly sunny.
We fished a total of 3 swims from 8am - 7.30pm without so much as a bite, apart from mate's line being run over by a 4 person canoe, as they came within 12 feet of the bank. Thankfully only terminal gear lost.
Having walked 90% of fishery, there were not many swims to fish and not much evidence of work done to open up more; so overall not that impressed and probably won't be returning. It is acknowledged that if we had had a red letter day we might feel differently.
