Wet... very very wet. Conditions were simply awful. River was rising and moving very fast. The banks are quite steep and were very slippery.
Called it a day after a couple hours and visited the cider farm.
No doubt this is a great beat.. not today!

To say it rained is putting it lightly, drenched from the first minute and stayed that way all day! But on a rising river the fish still wanted to feed, 3 barbel to 10lb 3oz on pellet wrapped in paste and 2 chub to 3lb 8oz whilst rolling meat. Fish came from the wild crib and the boat pool. Difficult conditions and stacks of weed but by no means unfishable.

Fairly tough conditions with the weed and winds playing up, however we did manage to land some fish. All fish today fell to pva bag tactics and were mostly around the 5-7lb mark with a few bonus fish up to 9ish.

Fished hair rigged halibut pellets and feeder, hard going due to lots of weed, most fish caught from the boat pool in the late afternoon up until dusk.

Had a great day on this lovely section of the river. Plenty of bites thought out the day. Managed to catch 4 and lost 2 fish down to snags. I stayed in the one swim in the meadow as I was happy with the action I was getting. Bites slowed down into the evening. All fish taken on pellet and feeder.

Only 3 of the 6 anglers booked on the water today were able to fish.
All the barbel and chub were caught using pellet/ground bait feeder tactics. Small Pike caught on spinner.

Struggled to get a bite, which is unusual for this beat, have fished it many times before but the weed was a nightmare
