My first time on this beat. A really enjoyable day albeit the weather sunny and the river low. I feel I have unfinished business and will definitely be back! Fish caught on feeder and pellet from various pegs in the bottom half.

Another hot and sunny day with low water level. Tried to find some deeper water. Most fish came towards the end of the session at dusk, a frantic last hour!

A nice short walk to the river found it low and clear. Fished from 6 til 3, taking all the fish on centre pin trotted corn and luncheon meat alternating between 2 swims. All the fish were in good condition, bar for a few lice which were removed. A couple of the barbel were around the 1lb mark, the rest were between 5 and 7lb. Thank you Wye and Usk for a fabulous day on the river.

Tough going on a very low river. We had to work hard to get bites, but managed to find a few fish from different areas using a roving approach. All fish to freelined meat. Other fish were eels.

Caught 12 barbel and lost 4 more in the streamer weed, river very low with plenty of weed drifting down from probably canoes and feeding swans. All fish caught using pellet and ground bait feeder with 8mm pellet on the hook.

All barbel caught on pellets apart from one on meat. 2 eels on pellet, they seem to be making a comeback. Nice to watch the little egret fishing opposite us for most of the day.
