River a couple of feet up and holding. 11 barbel (from 3lb to 8lb) and a couple of chub caught. All fish came from either the pool at the bottom of the beat or the well trodden peg in the middle before the line of poplars. All fish caught on halibut pellet.

3 Anglers fished - 9 Barbel to 7lb, 1 chub and 1 eel.Lovely stetch of water, we fished the swims in the middle section. Found the booking process simple and the directions easy to follow. Thanks, we will be back on the Wye again next year.

Overnight rain left river about 4 foot higher than we we were used to on this stretch, with river in flood flowing twice as fast as normal. Had a couple of bites myself losing the last one in the weeds. My fishing mate moved swim to get a couple of barbel of about 5 & 9lbs so not so bad after all.

Surprisingly quiet day on a coloured, falling river, despite the rain that came down in the morning.
One barbel 3rd cast and then two small chub during the rest of the day. Not even any evidence of an evening feeding spell towards dark. Very strange, but I guess that's the nature of the game.

Another wonderful day on this beat although the fishing was quite slow, we shared a catch of 11 barbel and 4 chub to feedered pellets, boilies and sweetcorn. A word of warning for anyone fishing this beat- the bank has collapsed in the swim nearest the tree line rendering it dificult to access safely.

River up but fishable with enough swims for 4. 2 blanks, 1 had 3 & lost a couple, 1 had 6 & lost 4 so even though conditions were tough it was worth sitting it out. Will definitely return to this area.
