1 Barbel, 4 Chub

A bit steadier than previous visits this time. We found a few fish in the afternoon on feeder tactics but they dried up unlike the rain. River still up 2 feet at least. Plenty of accessible swims, some with ropes.

5 Barbel, 2 Chub

River at normal level, but still with some colour. Fish were caught through-out the day on a mixture of different pellet sizes and types.

10 Barbel, 6 Chub

River coloured , normal level. A couple of smaller chub on the float then switched to feeder. 5 more Chub up to 4 1/2lb and 2 Eel. Sweet corn, bread, pellets.

7 Chub, 2 Other

My first Wye Barbel, 5.0 LB and 7.14 LB and 3.8 LB Chubb . Nice fish.

2 Barbel, 1 Chub

Evening session with my lad. No school of course. Caught two nice Barbel nudging 8lb each and a big chub. Feeder fished pellets, river nice colour and up a foot or so. Was hoping to catch more but getting to know this stretch. Wildlife is great here, Mandarin ducks, lovely Egrets wading the far bank, Red Kites and of course George the bull, stunning herd of Longhorns in the field. Met Andy late on who educated me on the beat so I will try again soon. Good pegs, strimmed back but still got that wild feel. Pleasant evening.

River had come up nearly 2 feet from yesterday and made a lot of difference to what we caught, all fish caught on pellet.

16 Barbel, 4 Chub

A hard day river looked good but didn't fish, barbel and chub on pellet, the others were eels. Well prepared stretch with good access.

2 Barbel, 3 Chub, 20 Other

Two top condition barbel to 9lb chub everywhere river conditions a little low but plenty of bites all day pellets and corn

Great day out river a little slow but productive days fishing barble to 9lb chub to 5lb looking forward to coming back soon
