River about 18" higher than ideal, makes this beat impossible to cross given that it's double bank. Not one to fish until the levels have dropped for sure.

A more lively beat, even in this low water, than Greenbank yesterday. It’s been a few years since I was last here and I had forgotten a) how overgrown it is and b) how many dog walkers and stone throwers there are on the other bank. I mooched around with the trout rod and had a few takes to an olive emerger but nothing stuck. There was a good trout head and tailing towards the bottom of the (dangerously decrepit) walkway. But it ghosted away once I started casting to it. I’m not sure this beat is worth the money if I’m really honest.

Entry path down from gate fully overgrown, brambles and nettles, couldn’t see path , fell over in the stingers , not the best start . Also directions can be improved to travel down less overgrown lanes, I came out a different way that was much better
However the beat is lovely, enjoyed the fishing , lots of browns visible
