River down to its bones. Very hot sunny day. One late chub saved the blank. Lovely stretch to fish but desperately needs some water in.

All fish caught on floatfished meat from faster water at top end of beat.

Only 2 trout caught - both from the Powder Works pool.

No sign of (fish) life anywhere else on the river.

Super frustrating day of fishing - didn't catch anything two days ago, nothing today either. Tried everything in the book - I guess the fish just weren't that hungry this week.
The really little ones were interested in the maggots, and I caught one of 'm. But that was about it.
River was rather low, water was clear.
