All trout caught on terrestrials under the trees. Some rises through the day but generally very quiet.

4 Trout

Very quite all day, have got to re think my approach.

Wet and cooler day that produce a good amount of fish to various flies and techniques. Water level still low and clear.

6 Trout, 20 Grayling

started fishing around 9 went to the lower end off the beat got in the lowest point fished up to Harry's pocket on the duo taking many fish taking a micro nymph on 2mm bead and on the stimmy to good size trout and grayling the fish was very active due to a hatch of something small couldn't see what was comming off the bird was going wild on them to. we went to penalow pool had fish in the head of the pool on French leader and the upper beat didn't fish as well as the lower beat

lovely afternoons fishing. nice weather and gentle breeze, sadly no significant hatch. grayling from 8-14 inches trout all around 12 inches.

Alas my rather limited skills did not match the fish I was trying so very hard to catch. A wonderful day the River pristine location stunning. Booking process simple. Thank you so much.

I focussed on the top half of the beat again today. Some nice trout around 10 inches from fast water on a soft hackle dry using my 7'6" 3 weight. Lots of fish rising on the flats and two fish took a size 18 F fly, (they were super-selective). In the evening the Grayling came on in the top pool and I managed five good fish on the soft hackle dry again around 14 inches. I couldn't do anything on the nymph, either on the duo or a French leader. It was warm and bright and whatever the method that works on the day it is a pleasure to be out in such wonderful surroundings.

3rd session on Craig Llyn, went further down river but still no success. Spoke to another angler who said I was wasting my time fishing this stretch and that the river fishes much better down by Sean Shepherd's hut. One further point, I did notice on my 3 visits there were no rising fish to cast to. Another point the angler that I spoke to made was that it is imperative that you use a French leader, although I'm not a professional or am I an amateur, I'm not quite sure what this type of leader is. I intend to use this method this evening.

Managed three lovely conditioned Trout and a decent Grayling all on the dry from the top of the beat.

2 x Brown Trout wiht one nearly one and half pound. Fishing well in afternoon on very small black size 18 F-fly.
