Convinced there's something wrong with th river. Fished this stretch for many years but not in the past several.....would have always caught at least a few trout.

Weather helped with a overcast sky but of course river in need of water. Regardless of this enough water to play with and Ciliau Falls & Ciliau Run fishable. Hooked and lost two good fish on trad wet flies on the swing. Only managed a Salmon Parr which saved a blank. A lot of green weed in shallows so be careful.

River was quite low. We are inexperienced as well so it was quite a difficult day of fishing.

Much better day today, there was a decent hatch of yellow duns during the day and I manged to catch lots on a narrower faster stretch. Nothing of any great size, 1lb that best, but great fun.

Good days fishing was had . River was low and we moved around on the stretch . Had many people deciding to acces the bank for swimming and letting there dog in which is annoying even when you do politely point out we have booked the stretch
