River high (over 1ft 9 ) and coloured but fining down. 6 trout to 14” and I lost a few. All down and across Some fly life evident but nothing rising with wind (30-40mph) and water colour. Nevertheless a good day

Blustery day. The odd bright warm spell but mainly overcast with a strengthening upstream wind. Not much hatching - the odd caddis brought up an occasional riser. But I did manage to winkle some fish out, mainly on small nymphs but a couple on a dry. All the fish I caught seemed in good nick. A good day.

First time on this beat. Late start around 3pm because of heavy rain. This had been accurately forecast and as I had planned, (and hoped) it brought the river to life. I had a great afternoon going into the evening with some lovely fish caught and safely returned. Best of the day a cracking brownie of 22 inches.
