Blustery day with strong downstream wind. Water clearing after yesterdays rain.
Tried nymphs initially, hooked 3 small fish (about 12 oz) and landed 2, at the downstream end of the beat.
About 1pm went to top of beat to try dries.
Nothing hatching and no fish moving. Turning over the leader into the wind was hard work. Gave up just before 3pm with no interest whatsoever.

Strong wind and the brief burst of Spring warmth over the weekend had gone. Water clear and still falling. No hatch and only three rises seen and none interested in the various offerings from my fly box.

First time on this beat - good stretches but short compared with the neighbouring beat Dinas fished last year. Given they are priced the same perhaps Dinas offers better value.

Beautiful day but fishing conditions challenging with river high and in full flow in bright sunshine. Managed to catch one wbt of 10-12 inches on GRHE which was returned safely.

5 fish between 11-15" caught on deerhair emerger in two short March Brown hatches.

River clear but high and fast. Little surface activity post the floods. One slender 13’ trout to a PTN. One hooked and lost. Beautiful day but hard work.

Bright sunshine all day, river high and very clear. Just a few small olives seen, only two trout seen rising. Tried both nymphs and duo, nothing caught.

Two trout to 3/4 lb on a beadhead GRHE nymph - missed several others. A good day.
