Northerly light breeze; bit chilly at around 11C; river clear but low; light rain later in afternoon. Strong hatch: some mayflies; lots of brook duns / medium olives; some sedges. During afternoon, some trout rising occasionally, some nymphing. Returned two small brownies (8”s). Great afternoon.

Good action - rose a lot more so a good challenge. nice hatches of olives and Mayfly

Only fished for a couple of hours in the evening. Horrible wind gusting straight down the river. Frustrating conditions. Very few rises and little fly life. However, a pretty beat and will definitely return for a longer session.

River very low so fished for an hour and then moved to different beat

My fishing buddy managed a nice trout from below the bridge, I couldn’t hit a barn door with a blunderbuss, missed 6 takes on dries and hooked and lost one, seem to be going through a poor patch at the moment.
Nice steady hatch of Large Brook Duns around midday which lasted quite a while. Only a couple of Mayflies seen.

Lovely bright day with a breeze. several fish rising but difficult to catch eventually catching 3 fish all small.
