Fishing 17-21:45. Most downstream the other upstream between parkibg 4 and 3.
1 trout on a red emerger
Its was terribly difficult. Most trot were sekectively hoovering surface in de still backwaters along the banks refusing our pale watery en red spent, emergers completely. I had just 1 take on a pale spent but didn’t hook.

Upstream from parking no. 2 a complete waste of time. River access nil. Wasted a morning finding this out.

From 17-21:30 Junction upto a little further than thecascade.
Betwedn 16-17:30 a thunderdtorm past over with just a little rain. In most pools only ocasionaly a few rising trout selectively feeding on spents , emergers of red spinner , Dark olive and maybe sherry spinner and Pale watery.. some sibbli g small insects hardly seen as arise. Tough fishing. 1 triut and hooked a heavy trout that brook on a bad leaderknot. Large beat just fished maybe 20%

River quite low….very few fish rising, in fact we only saw two fish all day. Warm, sunny day.
It is a beautiful beat but fishing is difficult in these conditions.
A lot of dog walkers, some dogs in the stream.

Very warm and the river was low. That said, there was a stiff upstream wind. Nice beat - much longer than I anticipated, so I only managed to work my way up half way. Will have to go back. Both fish caught on nymphs

A further fall in the level and still crystal clear. Some cloud cover today but it didn't improve the fishing. A few fish may have shown in the evening but we left early with along drive in front of us. 2 anglers today. No fish caught.
The river desperately needs some rain.

Levels even lower than yesterday. Sun even brighter. Virtually nothing showing until dusk. 3 anglers. 3 small trout

Very low water and bight sunshine made things difficult. A pretty beat (sewage treatment excepted - the beat description never mentioned that!)
